BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
You’ll need to work at pace and with some of the best qualified engineers in this field. Being successful in this role requires an ability to partner with other internal teams to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and role performance. Previous business development experience is essential.
This self-starting role will suit individuals who are highly driven to deliver prospects into revenue. Of course, you’ll need to prioritise and handle multiple concurrent sales cycles in international territories as well as being able to quickly absorb and retain product, solution, and market knowledge. You’ll be able to apply your network engineering skills and experience to a wide range of opportunities for both the customer and you.

Key elements
Research and identify net new sales opportunities by targeting prospects in the relevant
- Research, target and identify new sales opportunities
- Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets, quarterly and annually
- Create and execute a sales and marketing plan
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other lead generation methods
- Work with the Marketing team to create campaigns to raise awareness and generate sales opportunities
- Research and attend key industry events to increase knowledge and network with new customers (and
suppliers) - Create and deliver CRM-based quotations and proposals
- Use prospects/customers to gather feedback on new features/modules
- Utilise existing Marine and VSAT sales knowledge to ensure early success
- Facilitate handover of closed customers to the Account Management team
- Follow internal sales processes, supporting the growth and closure of the pipeline
- Maintain internal CRM systems and revenue forecasting
- Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and presenting pipeline figures/statistics/feedback.

TECHNICAL NETWORK ENGINEER
With vessels at sea exchanging critical information between headquarters, ports, suppliers and customers, fast, reliable, robust satellite communications are paramount. But not just on-board ship, the role will be to support engineered communications solutions for a range of challenging situations. The purpose of this role is to support the organisation and its customers by practical working with, and on, a variety of [mainly] marine satellite communication systems. As a Technical Engineer, you are an integral part of our Engineering Team, including in situ on vessels or land. in providing servicing, and commissioning activities for a large portfolio of communications systems including GMDSS, VSAT, and onboard satellite and radio communications.
Key elements
- Supporting the technical lead with innovative solutions using a range of options already available
- Work with sales teams, customers and suppliers to develop and deliver bespoke solutions that will stand up in difficult operating conditions
- Testing and preparation of equipment before installation and post-installation
- On completion, undertake compliance testing and provide a full technical handover to the customer
- Independently conduct site surveys, installation, commissioning, fault-finding, repairs and inspections in situ, when needed
- Attend and support customer sales visits with other staff
- Attend and support product and acceptance trials
- Provide timely, detailed service reports.
